Assessments
The tool that I decided to use to clearly define expectations and standards for quality in student products and performances is the rubric. First of all it allow my student input into what should be scored on the project. This give the learner an opportunity to take a greater part in the learning process. It also allows the learner to set goals and expectations for themselves (not only set them but achieve them). It allows them to take ownershp of their learning.

Module 3 - Activity 1 Visual Ranking Tool
Question: How do you believe the Visual Ranking Tool would promote higher-order thinking in your classroom?
I believe that The Visual Ranking Tool will allow student to analyze and synthesize information. The tool allows students to really think about the information and the situation in which to use the information. That in turn, allows students to take the abstract and put it into the concrete.

Module II - Activity I - The Verbinator
According to the verbinator, I have been quite effective. I am presented information on various levels of H.O.T. in just one lesson. That makes me feel a bit more confident about the information in which I am teaching.
